I pick "Autism and language impairment genetically linked" because I wanted to know more about language disorder. How I see this article related to language by the way it talks about genetic. What I find interesting about the article is that language impairment is one of the most common learning disabilities, affecting an estimated 7percent of children. I agree with the article, because I see some of my nephews that shows a summarily disorder like their parents. I think that genetic plays a big role on language. I would like to learn more about the topic of genetics. then I could understand why some people have speech problems. This topic effects the world by letting people know why children end up having language problems. Scientists have been studying the genetic influences of autism on families for the past decade.

I pick this article "Smithsonian archives preserve lost and dying languages" because it is similarity to what is going on in my family. We lost the language of the Native Americas, not even sure what tripe we are. The way this article is related to language is by the lost of the Native American heritage and the language. Not very many Native Americans speak the language. My grandmother parents did not teach her how to speak in her native language. What I found interesting was there are some archives that had been accumulating for more than 150 years. The findings of scholars, explorers, soldiers and travelers, they are now stored in Suitland. It includes copious material on about 200 Native American languages, many of them endangered and considerable number. I agree with the article, because if my grandmother would of known her language and if she would not of keep quiet about us being Native Americas we would all known another language. It did make me want to learn more about the topic, because my mom and uncle are researching on our native family. My topic affect the world by the lost languages, but now it is being teach around 60 Native American delegates on how to use linguistics as a teaching aid. I am happy that it is being teach and I would love to learn a Native American language

Hello,
My name is Soyla Marisclan I am from Morgan Hill California. My interests are learning another language and traveling, some small road trips are good for now. My hobbies are walking, spending time with family. I speak English, Spanish was my first language, but lost it as I was growing up. I always had problems with the English language grasping all those English rules. I am taking Eng 213 because it is a requirement for ASU and for Spanish certificate.
